Belted Sweaters

This photo is from J.Crew. I have that sweater (or a very similar incarnation) in oxblood.

Where I pinned it: Busy Mommy Style

Things I liked about this photo:
Ease
It looks comfortable and warm.

How I'll make it my own:
Jeans, white tee, collared shirt, oxblood sweater, belt

Twilly scarf and LV purse

Ugg wedge boots.

What I actually wore:

  • Frame Le Skinny de Jeanne jeans in Queens Way
  • F21 white cami
  • Abercrombie collared shirt
  • J. Crew oxblood sweater-blazer
  • Abercrombie double wrap belt
  • J. Crew necklace
  • (Not shown) Ugg wedge boots

I forgot a purse and I wasn't going anywhere this morning except to drop off the kids.

Rating:
  1. Comfort: Pretty good. 8/10; I was a bit hot, which is saying something since it's -8C today.
  2. Likability: 7/10;
  3. Repeatability: Pretty likely, but probably in the spring or autumn when I don't have to wear a coat on top. 8/10
  4. Discards: I rarely wear this collared shirt, but I always love the A&F fit, so I'm keeping it. I'll see if I reach for this more often once I've cut back my collection.

Thoughts:
I still love this sweater-blazer, but it always gets too hot under a winter coat. It's a better piece when it can be my warmer layer; like in early spring or autumn. It will look amazing with my LV bag in the same colour and some nice shoes when it's not snowing.

I love this belt, but I don't wear it as often as I should. I need to find more double wrap belt inspiration.
